Cheer Sagar

We are over at 3 Janak Puri 2, near Imliwala Phatak in Jaipur. If you know Jaipur, you know that the Phatak area can get pretty busy when the trains are coming through. We’ve spent many mornings waiting for the gates to open so we can get to the shop. Cheer Sagar has been here for a while now. The building is a bit older, with those thick walls that help a little bit when the Rajasthan heat starts to really climb in May and June. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any fancy receptionists or coffee machines that do everything for you. We just have our space and our tools. Most of the people around here are locals who’ve seen us in the neighborhood for years. There’s a lot of dust from the road, so we’re always cleaning something. The layout of the place is a bit cramped because we’ve tucked things into every available corner over time. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a glossy magazine, but it’s where we do our best work. We just show up, drink some chai, and get to it. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit outside for a minute until it comes back on. That’s just life in Janak Puri. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not; we’re just a local business making a go of it every single day.
