Career Step

Career Step is located right on Sipra Path in Mansarovar. It’s a decent neighborhood to be in, and we’ve been here long enough that most of the shopkeepers nearby know us. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us who handle everything from answering the phones to cleaning the floors at the end of the day. The office is tucked away a bit, so you have to look for the sign. We have a few rooms where we sit down with people. It’s not very fancy. We have some posters on the walls and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. Life here moves at a steady pace. We get people from all over the area coming in to ask about different career paths. Some are fresh out of school and others are looking to do something different after years at the same job. We just listen and try to offer some common sense. We don't use those complicated personality tests or anything. We just talk. Sometimes we stay late when someone has a lot of questions. The chairs are comfortable enough, but they’ve been around a while. It’s just a straightforward place where we do our work and try to be helpful to whoever walks in off Sipra Path. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a small space with some magazines that are mostly out of date. We like the quiet mornings here before the phone starts ringing.
