Canungo Brothers

If you head over to Jawahar Nagar, near the Barf Khana area, you’ll find us at number 701. Canungo Brothers has been operating from this corner for a good while. It’s a family-run kind of thing, which means there’s always someone around who knows the history of the place. We don't go in for big displays or modern marketing. The building itself shows its age a bit, but it serves us well. Most of our day is spent dealing with the paperwork and the people who walk through the door. The neighborhood is busy, especially near the old ice factory area. It can get a bit crowded with parked vehicles and people moving about. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and desks where we keep things organized as best as we can. We have our regulars who have been coming to see us for years. We handle the daily tasks without making too much noise about it. There’s a certain way we do things here that hasn't changed much over time. It’s not about being the biggest or the flashiest. It’s just about being reliable and showing up every day to help the folks who need what we have. We usually close up when the sun goes down and start all over again the next morning. It’s a steady life and we are just happy to be part of the Jawahar Nagar community.
