Ashoka Novelties

Ashoka Novelties is tucked away at 167 Bhindo Ka Rasta. If you know this part of the city, you know the lanes are narrow and always busy with people walking or on scooters. My shop has been here for a long time now. We sell all the little things that people need for their homes or for small celebrations. It is a small space, so things are stacked pretty high on the wooden shelves. You have to look around a bit to find what you want, but that is just part of the experience of shopping in this area. We get all kinds of customers, from neighbors who have known us for years to people just passing through the Rasta. The morning starts with pulling up the heavy shutters and dusting off the glass counters. It is a lot of work keeping track of so many small items, but we manage somehow. Bhindo Ka Rasta is a lively place to work. There is always someone shouting or a scooter bell ringing nearby. We do not have a big corporate team, just us handling the sales and the stock ourselves. Sometimes the light isn't great in the back of the shop, but we know where everything is. It is a simple business. We buy things, we put them out, and we wait for someone who needs them. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We like being part of the local market here.
