Ankit Mobile

Ankit Mobile is located in Bhankrota. We have been operating out of this same spot for quite a while now. If you live in Bhankrota, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. It is a humble little shop, nothing like those big stores in the mall. We focus on basic things like mobile recharges, selling sim cards, and having a few handsets on display for people to look at. The glass on our display case is a bit scratched up from years of use, but it still does the job. I usually open up around ten in the morning, unless I have some errands to run first. The dust from the main road comes in pretty easily, so I’m always wiping down the counter. We don’t do any big advertising or have a fancy website. People just know we are here. Sometimes a customer comes in with a phone that’s completely dead and we have to tell them it’s beyond saving, which is never fun. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what can't. My nephew helps out on his school holidays. We have a small plastic bench for people to sit on while they wait. It’s not much, but it’s our business and we’ve been here long enough to feel like a part of the street. If you are passing by, you might see me sitting out front for some air.
