Anjal Marble

If you come down to Jagatpura, you will find Anjal Marble at D-246. We are located near the Gourav Tower area in Malviya Nagar, which is a pretty well-known landmark around here. Our yard is filled with different types of marble and stone slabs that we have collected over time. It is a heavy business, quite literally. Most of the day is spent using the crane or having the guys move pieces of stone around so customers can see the patterns. The ground is often wet because we use water to keep the dust down when we are showing off the colors of the marble. It is not the kind of place where you want to wear nice shoes. We have slabs leaning against every available wall and fence. It looks a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is located. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. You just see the stone in the natural sunlight, which is the best way to look at it anyway. The sun gets very hot in the middle of the day, reflecting off all that white and grey stone. We usually take a break then and sit in the small shade of our office room. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, just selling stone for people's floors and counters. We just keep at it day after day without much change in the routine.
