Amirit Sagar Battery House

We've been running the shop at the Gopalpura Bypass for quite a few years now. You'll find us right at the Gopal Pura Mode on Tonk Road 4, which is a spot most locals know because of all the traffic. It’s a pretty busy area and that keeps us on our toes. People usually come in when they're in a bit of a fix, like when their car won't start on a cold morning or their home inverter stops working right when the power goes out. We keep the place packed with all kinds of batteries because you never really know what someone’s going to need. The shop isn't much to look at, just a lot of shelves and heavy boxes, but it works for us. It’s often a bit messy with old batteries being traded in and cables lying around. We spend a lot of our day just testing things and getting our hands dirty with grease and battery acid. It’s not the cleanest job, but we've gotten used to it over time. When the summer heat hits Jaipur, we get really swamped because the high temperatures just kill the batteries. We try to help everyone as they come in, though sometimes there’s a bit of a wait. We don't do much in the way of advertising or fancy signs. Most folks just find us because they live nearby or someone told them we were here. It's just a simple, local place.
