If you find yourself on Road No. 9 in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. Agarwal Marble Craft Pvt. Ltd. is located at B-112, and it’s a pretty busy part of the industrial zone. We are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there’s always a lot of noise and traffic from the big trucks. Inside our place, it’s all about the marble. We have saws running for most of the day, cutting down the big blocks into pieces that people can actually use. It’s wet, noisy work because we use a lot of water to keep the blades cool. We spend a lot of time checking the edges and making sure the polish is coming out right. Sometimes the stone has a hidden vein that causes it to break, and we just have to start over. That’s just the nature of working with natural materials. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. Usually, we are busy talking to the drivers or making sure the crane is working properly. It’s a hot and tiring environment, especially during the summer months when the metal roof of the shed gets really warm. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time, and we’ve seen the industrial area change around us. We just stick to what we know, which is cutting stone and making sure it gets delivered to the customers.
