Agarwal Craft Palace

Agarwal Craft Palace is located at Chandan Palace, B/62 Natraj Nagar, Imli Phatak, Tonk Road. It’s right off the main road, so it's fairly easy to find if you know the landmark. We’ve been in this building for a good while. It isn't actually a palace like the name might make you think, it's just a regular workspace where we keep our crafts. My wife handles the books and I handle the stock. We have a lot of different things piled up, from wood pieces to metal work. Some days are slow and we just sit and listen to the radio while we wait. Other days we are rushing around trying to get everything sorted for a delivery. The traffic on Tonk Road can be quite something, so it’s usually noisy outside the windows. Inside, it smells a bit like old wood and metal polish. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of guys who help us with the heavy lifting when we need it. We mostly sell to people who live around here or folks who heard about us from a neighbor. We don't have those bright lights you see in the new malls. We just have a few bulbs and whatever sunlight comes through the front window. It’s a decent place to work and we try to be fair with everyone who comes in.
