Agarwal Beej Bhandar

Agarwal Beej Bhandar is right in the middle of the Lalkothi Sabji Mandi area. If you’ve ever walked through the mandi you know how loud and crowded it gets. That’s where we are every day. We mostly deal with seeds and stuff for farmers and people with small gardens. It’s a very grounded kind of business. We spend a lot of time talking to people about the weather and how the soil is doing this year. There is always a smell of earth and sacks around the shop. We don’t have fancy displays or air conditioning. It’s just shelves full of packets and bags of seeds. People come in, ask what’s good for the season, and we tell them what we have in stock. It’s a very simple way of doing business. Sometimes the mandi is so packed that it’s hard to even get to the door, but we like the energy of the place. We’ve been at this for a bit and we know most of the regulars who come by. We aren’t trying to change the world or anything, just providing seeds to whoever needs them. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from early morning until the market slows down. If you need us, just head to Lalkothi and ask for the seed shop in the mandi.
