Our place is out in Gram Amargadh Gopalapura, specifically at Babu Singh Rawat’s property. It’s a bit of a journey to get out here to Khar, but it’s a good spot for what we do. We work with herbs. We grow them, harvest them, and then dry them out. It’s a very slow and manual process. There aren't many machines involved in our day-to-day. It’s mostly just us working with our hands in the fields. The whole area around the house smells like whatever we have drying at the time, which is usually quite nice. We aren't a corporate setup. It’s more of a local operation that’s grown over time. We’ve learned a lot about these plants from the people who lived here before us. We don't make any big promises or use marketing slogans. We just grow the herbs and hope the weather stays on our side. Sometimes it’s too dry and the harvest is thin, which is just the way it goes. We don't have a big office or a bunch of staff. It’s just a few of us who know the land. We wake up early to beat the heat and spend our days making sure the plants are tended to. It’s a quiet way to live and work, far away from the noise of the city.
