If you are driving down Tonk Road towards Chaksu, you will find us at number 9. It is right on the stretch where the traffic starts to pick up speed. The dust from the road is a constant battle, and we are always wiping down the counters. We started this place because it seemed like a good spot where people could stop. It is not a huge establishment, just a solid building that does the job. Most of our days are spent waiting for the next truck to pull over or seeing the regulars who live nearby. We have a small bench outside where people sit when it is not too sunny. The interior is pretty basic with just the essentials. We don't go in for fancy decorations or anything like that. It is more about having what people need when they are passing through. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just keep the doors open for the breeze. It can get pretty loud with the buses honking outside, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. We keep a ledger for everything because we still prefer writing things down by hand. It feels more reliable than the computer sometimes. There is always something to fix, whether it is a leaky tap or a loose shelf, so there is never a dull moment. We just keep things moving along as best as we can.
