Getting up to the 4th floor of Raisar Plaza every day keeps us in shape, since the elevators are not always the fastest. We are at shop number 84, tucked away where it’s a bit quieter than the ground floor. Indra Bazar is always a mess of people and bikes down below, but up here it’s different. We have our workspace set up with all our supplies scattered around. It isn't the neatest place, but we know where the brushes and tools are when we need them. Sometimes the sun hits the window just right in the afternoon and we have to pull the shades down so we can see what we are working on. We get a mix of regulars who have been coming to us for years and people who just happened to wander up this high. We don't do a lot of shouting about what we do; we just keep our heads down and finish the projects on the table. Lunch is usually something quick brought from home or ordered from one of the shops downstairs. It can get a little lonely on the 4th floor if no one visits, but we usually have enough to keep us busy. The walls are covered in bits of paper and old sketches that we never bothered to take down. It’s just our little corner in the middle of a very busy market. We like the view of the roofs from up here.
