Aalayam

Aalayam is tucked away in Lal Kothi, right at UB-2. We are situated behind the Sahara Chamber and the Pink Tower, which are both pretty well-known buildings in this part of Jaipur. It is a bit of a hidden spot, but once you find it, it is actually quite peaceful. The office is located in a basement or lower level, hence the UB designation. It keeps it a bit cooler when the sun is beating down outside. We have a simple setup with our desks and chairs arranged to make the most of the space. It is a cozy office, not one of those massive corporate halls. We do a lot of our work on our laptops and have plenty of sketches and notes lying around. Lal Kothi is a busy commercial area, but being behind the main towers means we don't get as much noise from the street. We usually head out to one of the local stalls for a quick lunch or a cup of chai. There is a lot of movement in the building with people from other offices coming and going. We have a small sign outside so people know they have reached the right place. It is a practical environment where we focus on what needs to be finished. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks; we just want it to be a place where we can actually get things done. It works for our small team.
