Aadarsh Transformers Udyog

Working at Aadarsh Transformers Udyog means dealing with a lot of copper wire and heavy steel parts. We are located at G-12 in the Badharna area of VKIA. It is a bit of a walk from the main gate, but we like it here. The workshop stays busy from morning till late evening. You can usually hear the sound of welding or the crane moving parts around. It’s a tough job and our clothes are always stained with something or other. We don't have a big corporate office, just a small cabin where we keep the blueprints and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out, which is ironic for a transformer place, but we just sit outside until it comes back. The guys in the shop have a radio that plays old songs while they work. At G-12, we’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry, but the basic way we build things stays the same. It takes patience to get the windings right. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do a solid job on every unit that leaves the floor. The trucks come in the afternoon to load up, and that’s always a bit of a scramble. Once they leave, we sweep up and get ready for the next day. It’s a steady rhythm that we have fallen into over the years in Badharna. The place is practical and plain, just how we like it for the type of work we do.
