We are located at H.No:2-97 in Gullapet, which is part of the Dharmapuri area in Karim Nagar. Jagtial Neelakanta Farmers Producer Company Limited is the name on the papers, but to most people around here, we’re just the local farmers. It’s a pretty basic operation. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the crops that grow well in our part of Telangana. The weather can be a real pain sometimes, either too dry or a sudden downpour that ruins the work of weeks. But you get used to it after a while. We started this company because it’s better for us to work as a group than as individuals. It gives us a bit more strength when we’re dealing with buyers. We spend most of our time out on the land, so the office in Gullapet is mostly just for the official stuff and meetings. It’s a simple setup. We talk about seeds, fertilizers, and when to start the next planting. There's nothing polished about how we do things. It’s just honest work. We’ve lived here all our lives and we know every corner of these fields. It’s just about getting the produce from the ground to the market without too much trouble for any of us. We try to stay positive even when things get difficult with the crops or the prices.
