Naba Kisan Farmer Producer Company Limited

Over in Tirtol, specifically the Dhihasahi area, we have our small setup for Naba Kisan. We use Bipin Bihari Swain’s place as our main point of contact. This part of Jagatsinghapur is very focused on agriculture, and most of us have grown up with dirt under our fingernails. We are just a group of local farmers who felt it was time to organize ourselves a bit better. Running a farm is tough when you’re on your own, especially with how the prices jump around. By being a producer company, we can talk to buyers as a group. It makes life a little less stressful, though the work itself is still hard. We don’t spend much time inside an office. Mostly we are out in the fields or near the sheds where we keep the equipment. Our families have been in this village for generations. We know every corner of these lands. When the seasons change, our work changes too. There is always something to do, whether it's preparing the soil, sowing the seeds, or getting the harvest ready for transport. We don’t have any big speeches to give. We just want to make sure we get a fair return for all the hours we put in. It’s a straightforward life and we wouldn't know what else to do with ourselves anyway.
