Shiv Hair Cutting Saloon

Shiv Hair Cutting Saloon is located right near the Madan Mahal station in Jabalpur. Being on Station Road means there is always a lot of movement outside. We get a mix of travelers coming off the trains and local residents who have lived in Madan Mahal for decades. The shop is small and a bit cramped when it gets crowded, but we make it work. We have been here for years, watching the station area change while we stay pretty much the same. We don’t go for those new-age styles much, mostly just regular cuts and shaves that look neat. The tools we use are the ones we trust. It is a straightforward place. We don't have air conditioning or fancy lighting, just some tube lights and a ceiling fan that hums along. Most of our day is spent standing by the chairs, chatting with whoever is sitting there. It’s nice to hear stories from people traveling through. We try to keep the floor clean, though hair piles up fast when it's a busy Saturday. If you are waiting for a train or just live nearby, you might have seen our blue sign on the street. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth from the neighbors is usually enough to keep us going. It’s just an honest way to earn a living here in Jabalpur and we are happy to be here.
