R C Herbal Beauty Parlour

Down on Nagpur Road in the Bargi area of Jabalpur, you will find my little parlour. I call it R C Herbal because I like using things that aren't full of harsh chemicals. The shop is right in Adarsh Nagar, and it’s a quiet part of town compared to the main city. I usually start my day by cleaning the glass shelves and setting out the bowls I use for mixing henna or face packs. Bargi is a nice place to live and work because the air feels a bit better here. Most of my clients are women from the nearby houses who have known me for years. They come in to chat as much as they do for a facial. I have a small back room where I keep the supplies and a stove to warm up wax. It’s nothing fancy, just a few stools and a comfortable chair for the customers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use hand fans while waiting for it to come back. That is just life in Jabalpur sometimes. I don't have a big staff, it’s mostly just me and occasionally a helper if it’s a holiday season. I like the routine of opening up, greeting the regulars, and finishing the day by mopping the floor. It’s a simple life running a small business on the side of the road and I enjoy the independence it gives me to manage things.
