Neetu Herbal Beauty Parlour

My name is Neetu and I run this herbal beauty parlour in the Garha area of Jabalpur. We are located near Gautam Ji Ki Madiya, which most people around here know very well. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself and help the ladies in my neighborhood look their best for weddings and functions. We do threading, waxing, and hair treatments. I use a lot of herbal things like neem and aloe vera because that’s what I learned growing up from my mother. It isn't a fancy salon like the ones in the big malls or in the main city center. It is just a small, comfortable room where we do our work. Sometimes my sisters help me out when it gets really busy during the wedding season or when there is a big festival coming up. We have a lot of regular customers who live in the nearby streets of Garha. They come in to chat about their families as much as they do for the beauty work. The walls are painted a simple light green and we have some old posters of hairstyles on them. I keep a small register to write down the appointments, but often people just walk in without calling first. Garha is a nice, quiet place to have a business because everyone knows everyone else. We try to keep things affordable so everyone can come. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works hard in the summer heat. We use simple tools.
