Dil Khush Gents Parlour

Our shop, Dil Khush Gents Parlour, is located over on Bahorabagh Chowk Road in the Jakir Hussain Ward. We are right by Char Khamba and just ahead of the Budi Khemai Temple. It’s a busy part of Jabalpur, especially with the High Court Road being so close. You get all sorts of people walking by all day long. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have the usual chairs, some old posters of hairstyles on the wall that have faded a bit over time, and a shelf for the talcum powder and aftershave. I start the morning by sweeping out the hair from the day before and setting out the clean capes. It can get pretty loud outside with the temple crowds and the traffic at the chowk, but inside we just focus on the job. We do a lot of traditional shaves with the straight razor. It takes a steady hand and people seem to trust us with it. Sometimes the shop gets full of smoke from the incense at the temple nearby, but it smells nice. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here because they see the sign when they go to the temple or the court. It’s just a regular gents' parlour where we try to do a decent job every day and keep the customers happy.
