Baba Hair Styles is over at Shop No Z 14. We are in Jabalpur City, specifically in the Vijay Nagar area, zip code 482002. A good landmark is that we are right behind the Krishi Upaj Mandi. Being near the mandi means it's always active around here. There are a lot of people moving goods and tractors passing by. Our shop is a small unit. We’ve been here for a while. It’s a place for a quick haircut. We don't do anything very elaborate. Most of our customers are workers from the mandi or people living in Vijay Nagar. We have two chairs and some old mirrors that have a few scratches. It doesn't bother anyone. We keep the tools sharp and clean. I work here with my nephew. He is learning the trade. We open early because the mandi opens early. People like to get their hair done before they start their shift. It’s a noisy area but we like it. There is always something happening. We have a small calendar on the wall and a photo of our family. We don't use any fancy shampoos. Just the regular ones you find in the market. It’s a basic life in Jabalpur. We don't have a telephone in the shop. People just come by when they need us. We’ve been at this same spot behind the mandi for years and don't plan on moving. It is a steady place for us and the community. We just keep our heads down and work.
