Vivek Steels

Vivek Steels is based over on the first floor of 38, South Hathipala, right on Jawhar Marg. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always people passing by. Our space isn't huge, but it fits what we need for the day-to-day operations. We handle a lot of steel orders for various local projects. It usually starts with a phone call or someone walking up the stairs to see what we have in stock. The office has that old-school feel to it, with wooden desks and stacks of ledgers everywhere. We haven’t really changed much over the years because the current setup works for us. It’s a bit of a climb up to the first floor, especially if we’re carrying heavy paperwork or small metal samples. Dealing with steel means a lot of technical specs and measurements, so we spend a good chunk of the day double-checking numbers. The guys who work here are local and we’ve known our customers for ages. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide the steel that people ask for and try to keep things moving. Sometimes the traffic on Jawhar Marg makes it hard for deliveries to get through on time, but we find a way to make it work. It’s just a normal, practical business where we show up, have some tea, and get through the list of tasks we have written down on our pads.
