My family has been at Shop No. 183 for a while now. It's right near the Nagar Nigam Chouraha, so most people around here know the spot. We mostly handle steel items. It gets busy during the day because of the traffic at the crossroads. Sometimes it’s a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is around the municipal office area. We don’t have a big fancy office, just the shop where we keep the stock and talk to whoever walks in. Usually, people come in looking for specific rods or sheets for their construction projects. We try to keep things organized, though with metal everywhere, it’s a constant job. My cousin helps out when the deliveries arrive. We spend a lot of time just measuring things out and making sure the counts are right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks. If you’re driving past the Chouraha, you’ll see our sign. It's nothing special, just a place that sells steel. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New buildings go up, old ones get renovated, and we just keep providing the materials. There’s always someone needing a bit of steel for a gate or a roof. We just stay here and do the work. The traffic noise is constant but you get used to it.
