Khilji Iron Works

Khilji Iron Works is located at No. 94 Siyaganj Main Road. It’s also near Nda Road in Shivane. The place is more of a workshop than an office. It’s very loud because of all the metal work going on. There’s the sound of hammers and cutters all day long. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal scraps on it. We’ve been at No. 94 for many years. It’s a family-run kind of place. We wear heavy boots and old clothes because things get dirty fast. Siyaganj Main Road is a busy area with lots of trucks. We have a big open front so we can move the iron pieces in and out. It gets really hot near the forge. We drink a lot of water. There isn't a fancy waiting room here. If someone comes to see us, we just talk to them right there on the shop floor. We have some old desks in the back for the paperwork. It’s mostly covered in soot. We don't mind. It's just part of the job. Shivane is a good location for this kind of work. We know most of the other shop owners around here. We work until the sun goes down. Khilji Iron Works isn't a polished company. We are just people who work with our hands and some heavy machinery. The oil stains on the floor are just how it is.
