Velocity Travels

Our shop is number 11 in the Ratandeep Building. We are right at the Navlakha Bus Stand in Indore. If you are standing where the buses pull in, you can see our building quite easily. It’s a very convenient spot for a travel office because the buses are literally right there. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have a long counter where we sit and talk to customers who are usually in a hurry to catch their ride. There are always bags and suitcases sitting around because people wait here sometimes. The floor is tiled but has some cracks from years of people walking in and out. We keep a calendar and a few bus schedules pinned up so we can check them quickly at Velocity Travels. It gets very loud with the conductors shouting and the engines revving, but that’s just part of being at Navlakha. We drink a lot of chai to keep us going through the long shifts. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like being in the middle of all that movement. We’ve seen the building age and the bus stand change over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the bookings. No fancy decorations or polished floors here, just a practical place to get a bus ticket and maybe sit for five minutes before your journey starts. It’s a real, busy part of life in Indore. We just handle the tickets.
