So, we run Skyland Tours And Travels right here in Indore. It started out because we liked traveling ourselves and thought we could help others do it too. Our office isn't anything special, just a place where we sit and talk about destinations all day. People come in looking for a break from their routine and we try to figure out where they should go. Indore is a good base for us. We know the local roads and the train schedules pretty well by now. It’s not always easy work. Sometimes bookings fall through or the weather ruins everything, and then we have to fix it. We don't use big scripts or anything like that. If you call, you're just talking to one of us. We spend a lot of time on the phone with hotels and bus operators. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes the internet is slow and we get frustrated, but that’s just life. We’ve been doing this for a bit now and we’ve learned what works and what doesn't. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get people where they need to go without too much trouble. It's mostly just about keeping track of the details so things don't go wrong. We enjoy the stories people tell us when they come back. That's probably the best part of being in Indore. We just keep our heads down and handle the logistics. Every day brings a different set of questions from people who want to see something new. It’s a simple way to spend our time.
