The Standard Alloy Steel Industries

The Standard Alloy Steel Industries has been tucked away at 4/6 New Palasia for a good while now. It is mostly just us here working with different grades of steel every day. The workshop gets pretty loud once the machines start up in the morning, but that is how we know the work is moving along. We handle a lot of alloy bits and pieces, mostly stuff that goes into bigger machines elsewhere. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the floor gets a bit cluttered with offcuts and metal shavings, though we try to sweep up when there is a spare minute. People stop by the office to talk about their specs or just to see how a job is coming. We don’t have a big front desk or anything, just a few chairs and some old calendars on the wall. The guys in the back have been doing this for years, so they know the smell of the metal and how it reacts to heat better than any manual could explain. It is just a regular place where we focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the steel is what it is supposed to be. New Palasia has changed a lot around us, with more shops popping up, but we just stay inside and keep at it. Usually, we are drinking tea while checking the latest batch of orders that came in. It is simple work, really.
