Standard Iron Traders

Standard Iron Traders is located right behind the Saifee Hotel over in Siyaganj. The address is No 6/1. It can be a bit tricky to find if you don't know the back streets around here. We have been in this spot for quite some time now. Dealing with iron is what we do every day. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty fast. We usually open up in the morning and stay until the last load is gone. The traffic in Siyaganj can be a real headache sometimes especially when big lorries are trying to squeeze through. We just deal with it. Our team is small but we know our way around the different types of iron products. We don’t go for anything flashy. The shop is pretty basic with just the essentials. We talk to a lot of different people coming through for their building needs. Sometimes we run out of space in the shed so we have to be smart about how we stack things. It’s a lot of lifting and counting. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing fancy things. Most of our day is spent out front or in the back checking the stock. If someone calls, we just tell them what we have on hand. It's straightforward work. We like it that way. Being near the hotel helps people find us easier when they are lost. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
