Sona Steel Corporation

Being out here at Plot No-46 in Loha Mandi, you get used to the noise. Sona Steel Corporation isn't a quiet place. There's always trucks coming in and out of T. S. Navlakha. We handle a lot of steel bars and plates. It's heavy work and my back feels it some days. We’ve been in this spot for years. The yard gets messy when a big shipment arrives. We try to keep the stacks neat so we can find what someone needs quickly. It’s not a shiny showroom. It’s a working yard with grease and iron dust everywhere. Most of our guys have been here a long time. We know the regulars by name. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and the ground gets muddy. We just pull the tarps over and wait it out. If you need a specific size, we check the stock. If it’s not there, we tell you. No point lying about it. People around here appreciate that. We don't spend much on advertising because word of mouth seems to work well enough. Just a plain business doing what it does. My father used to say that steel is the backbone of everything, and I guess he was right. We keep moving things around, selling what we have, and trying to stay out of the way of the big cranes next door. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy.
