We are located at 291-292 C in the Shrinagar Extension. Our place is part of a residential building, so it doesn't look like a shop from the street. We do all our garment work inside. It’s a mix of a workshop and a small office. We have a few sewing machines and a large table for cutting the fabric. It’s often quite cluttered with rolls of cloth and different patterns we are working on. We don't have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. If the door is open, you just walk in. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or people who were told about us by their family. We make different kinds of outfits, mostly for women and children. We aren't a big factory; it's just a small team of us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to stop the machines and wait. During those times, we just sit and talk or have some tea. It’s a very relaxed environment, not like those big corporate offices. We don't have any big mission statements. We just try to make clothes that people like to wear. It’s a lot of work to keep everything organized, and we often have bits of thread stuck to our clothes. But it’s a good way to spend the day. We just take each order as it comes and do our best.
