Vijay Garments

I have been working at 145 Imli Bazar for a long time now. The Sindhi Market gets so crowded in the evenings, especially on weekends when everyone is out looking for something new to wear. Vijay Garments isn't a huge place, but we keep a lot of stuff packed in here. Most days start with dusting the shelves and making sure the shirts are folded right, though they usually get messed up by noon. It is just me and a couple of others working here. We see all kinds of people coming through the doors. Some know exactly what they want and others take an hour just to pick one color. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is the part of the afternoon I look forward to when it's hot outside. The shop has been here through many seasons. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just regular tubes that keep the place bright enough. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud because of the market rush, but you get used to it after a while. We try to keep things organized but with so many boxes coming in, there is always something sitting in a corner waiting to be opened. It is a simple life here in the market. People stop by to chat even if they aren't buying anything, and that is just how it goes in this part of town. Most of the clothes are for regular daily use.
