Shailendra Steel Traders

Shailendra Steel Traders is located at No. 22, South Haathipala, Opposite Amir Complex, and we’ve been operating from this location for many years. Haathipala is a busy and crowded market, so there is always a lot of activity and noise right outside our door. Being opposite the Amir Complex makes it easy for people to find us, which is good because the streets here can be quite narrow and confusing. Our shop is filled with various types of steel, and there isn't much room for anything else. We have a couple of old chairs and a desk where we do all our billing and note-taking. It’s not a polished or fancy place, but it works for the kind of trade we do every day. We spend a lot of our time talking to the laborers and the truck drivers who help us move our stock around. The afternoons get really hot, and the smell of the market is always there, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any mission statements or big promises. We just open the shutters in the morning and do the best we can to get the work finished. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes things get a bit messy, but that is just the nature of the steel business. We are just local people running a practical shop in an old part of the city, trying to keep up with the orders.
