Vardan Garments

Vardan Garments is located right at Shop No. 25 and 26, which is very close to Mahatma Gandhi Hall. It’s a familiar spot for anyone who lives in this part of town. We have two shops joined together to give us enough room for all the stock we keep. Most days, we are busy folding clothes or putting new items out on the hangers. The hall nearby always has something going on, so we see a lot of people walking by our front door. Sometimes they stop in just to look, other times they know exactly what they want. It’s a simple shop. We don’t have those bright blinking lights or anything. Just basic shelves and a small counter where we handle the cash. The fans on the ceiling keep it cool enough even when the sun is beating down on the street outside. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers around Mahatma Gandhi Hall. We share tea and talk about the weather or how the crowds are that day. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular clothing shop where we try to keep things tidy. Sometimes the stacks of shirts get a bit leaning, but we fix them up when things slow down in the evening. It’s just how we spend our days, surrounded by fabric and the noise from the street. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a good way to make a living.
