Paresh Steel

We are located over at Plot No. 822 on New Loha Mandi Road in the Navlakha area. Being in Loha Mandi means we are right where all the action is for the steel trade. It’s a loud place, with the sound of metal clanging and heavy trucks moving through the narrow lanes. Everything here is about steel. Our yard is filled with various sizes of bars and sheets. It’s heavy work, and you definitely need to watch your step when the cranes are moving. The air always has that metallic smell to it. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot, getting the cranes ready and checking the orders for the day. Most of the people we deal with are builders or small workshop owners from around Indore. They come in with their trucks, we load them up, and they head back out. It’s a rough and tumble environment, not like a clean corporate office. Our clothes usually end up with some rust or grease on them by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and we know our neighbors well. Everyone in the Mandi is doing the same kind of work, so there’s a bit of a community feel despite the noise. We just focus on getting the right steel to the right person. It's honest, physical labor that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
