You can find New Preeti Steels at Plot No 75/4 in Sanvid Nagar. We are right by the Telephone Nagar Chouraha, just off Kanadia Road. That intersection is always busy with bikes and cars, so it’s easy to find us if you just follow the sound of the traffic. We deal with steel, so there is always the clanging of metal bars being loaded onto trucks. The yard is mostly open, and we have a small office where we keep the books. It gets hot out there in the sun, so we try to do the heavy loading early in the morning. Our clothes always have rust stains on them, and the soles of our boots wear out fast on the concrete. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see the steel, you just walk out into the yard and look at the stacks. We’ve been at this spot for a bit, and we know most of the drivers who come through the chouraha. Sometimes we have to move the trucks around to make sure we don't block the road for the neighbors. It’s a lot of physical labor, but it’s honest. We just sell the steel, weigh it out, and send it on its way. There’s no mystery to it. Just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the counts are right at the end of the day. It's not always easy but it's what we do.
