You can find us at Wa/86 in Scheme No. 94, right on Gulab Baug Road. We are pretty close to the Hotel Lords Inn Regency, which helps people find us since Vijay Nagar can be a bit confusing with all its different schemes and blocks. Our shop is a simple place where we make khaman every day. We start very early in the morning when the streets in Indore are still a bit quiet. By the time the sun is up, we are usually surrounded by steam and the smell of gram flour. It is a small space, so we have to stay organized or we would never get anything done. There isn't much room for sitting, but that is fine because most people just grab what they need and go. We spend a lot of time wiping down the glass counters and making sure the boxes are folded and ready. The road outside gets very busy in the afternoons, and sometimes it feels like the whole city is passing by our door. We don't put on any acts or try to be anything we are not. We just make the food, serve the people, and clean up at the end of the shift. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until we close the shutters at night. There’s always someone coming in for a snack, and we just keep the supply moving.
