Modern Steel Sales

If you find yourself over near the Hathipala Post Office, you’re basically right at our doorstep. We are tucked into Office No. 22-23 and it’s usually quite a hectic scene around here. Modern Steel Sales is where we handle all the heavy lifting and the paperwork that comes with it. The area is always buzzing with people going to mail letters or just passing through the market. Our office isn't much to look at, just a place with desks and some samples leaning against the walls. We spend most of our time talking to suppliers and trying to get the orders sorted out before the end of the day. It gets dusty sometimes with all the traffic outside but we just keep the fans going. We have been in Hathipala long enough to know most of the other shop owners around us. It is a good spot because everyone knows the post office as a landmark so nobody gets lost trying to find us. Dealing with steel is heavy work and sometimes things get a bit messy in the back. We don't mind though as long as the work gets finished. It’s a straightforward operation here. No one wears a suit unless they really have to for a meeting. We just wear what’s comfortable and get on with it. Most afternoons involve a lot of tea and checking over the inventory sheets to make sure nothing was missed during the morning rush. There is always a lot of shouting and noise from the street but we are used to it by now.
