Manish Steel Works

We are located at 584/3 in Bhagirathpura, right across from the Sai Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple when they have their prayers, which is a nice background to the sound of our hammers hitting steel. Manish Steel Works is a small place, really. We handle a lot of metal bending and welding for whoever walks in. The neighborhood is pretty crowded, so parking a truck near the shop is always a bit of a struggle. We’ve been here a long time, and the walls are stained with soot and grease from years of work. My hands are usually black by noon, but that’s just how it goes when you work with steel. We don’t have a computer or anything fancy here; we write everything down in a notebook that sits on the wooden bench. Sometimes customers come in just to chat while we finish their gates or grills. It gets very hot in the summer because the roof is just tin sheets, but we have a big fan that helps a little bit. People know us as the place near the temple. We don't do much advertising because word of mouth in Bhagirathpura is usually enough to keep us busy. We just focus on getting the steel cut to the right size and making sure the welds are strong enough to hold up. It is simple work but it keeps us going every day.
