Our facility is at number 7 in 'A' Sector on E Sanwer Road. This is an industrial area, so it’s all about trucks, sheds, and heavy machinery. Madhyachal Steels has been here for a while, and we’ve seen the sector grow up around us. It’s a large shed where we keep the steel. The roof is high, and it gets quite loud when the rain hits the metal sheets. We spend most of our time on our feet, walking between the stacks of steel and the loading bay. There is an office tucked into one corner, but it’s mostly used for storing files and taking a quick lunch break. The air is always thick with the smell of iron and diesel from the cranes. We don't do anything fancy here. We just make sure the steel is where it needs to be. The sun beats down on Sanwer Road in the afternoons, making the whole yard feel like an oven, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. We have a few dogs that hang around the gate and we feed them leftovers. It’s a very routine life. We show up, check the manifest, move the metal, and head home when the sun goes down. There aren't many frills in this line of work, just the daily grit of the industrial sector. We've got a good crew of workers who know the yard better than their own homes.
