Kermes Apparel Llp is located at EF 23 in Scheme No. 54, right in the Vijay Nagar area of Indore. If you know Indore, you know how busy and loud Vijay Nagar gets. There’s always someone looking for a parking spot outside, and the noise of horns never really stops during the day. Our workspace is pretty functional and simple. We have a few long wooden tables for cutting fabric and a row of sewing machines that have seen better days but still work just fine. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations; we’d rather just have more space for the boxes and inventory. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few calendars and some old order forms pinned to the door. We handle a lot of different types of clothing, so the floor is usually covered in lint and bits of colorful thread. It’s a fast-paced environment because the orders come in and have to go out to customers quickly. Sometimes we stay late and order some food while we finish packing the boxes for the morning courier. It’s not a glamorous job, and it can be quite tiring standing on the hard concrete floor all day. We mostly just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the fabric isn’t damaged. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here. We all just pitch in where it’s needed, whether that’s cleaning up the floor or answering the phone when it rings.
