Jain Mithai Bhandar (A B Rd)

Our shop is right on A B Road at number 16. If you are standing across from Malhar Garden you can see us pretty clearly. It is a loud part of town because of all the cars and bikes constantly moving along the main road. We start early when the air is still a bit cool to get things ready for the day. Making sweets takes a lot of time and patience. There is always something boiling or being stirred in the back. We don't worry much about looking like a big corporate place. It’s more about the smell of milk and sugar that hangs in the air all morning. People stop by on their way to work or when they are going home in the evening. The garden across the street brings in families on the weekends so those days are a bit more crowded. We spend a lot of time just arranging the glass cases and keeping the floor swept. It gets sticky sometimes but that’s expected. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure we don't run out of the basics. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when there’s a quiet moment and just watch the traffic go by. It’s a regular life and we are okay with that. Most of our regulars know us by name now.
