Indian Steel Corp. Ltd.

Up on the fifth floor of Mahakosh House, in room 503, is where we run Indian Steel Corp. Ltd. South Tukoganj is a pretty decent area to work in, and we’ve been here in this building for a good while now. The office isn’t anything special to look at—just some desks, computers, and a lot of files about different steel grades and shipping dates. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing away at the keyboards, trying to keep everything organized. The view from the window is mostly other tall buildings and the street below, which stays busy from morning till night. Mahakosh House has a lot of different offices inside, so we see the same faces in the elevator every single morning. Our routine is pretty much the same day in and day out. We get in, check what needs doing, and start working through the list. It can get a bit cramped in here when we have a lot of samples or documents piled up on the spare table, but we make it work. We aren’t big on corporate talk or fancy titles. We’re just the people who make sure the steel gets where it needs to go on time. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles during the peak of the summer heat, so we have to deal with that. It’s a practical workspace for a practical business. We don't have many bells and whistles, just the basics.
