Gokund Namkeen Private Limited is situated at 103, Vidhya Nagar. This is right on Sapna Sangeeta Road in Indore, which is probably one of the busiest streets you will find in the city. There is always a lot of traffic and people walking by our door. We make namkeen, which is what Indore is famous for anyway. Our space is usually filled with the smell of hot oil and various spices. It can get very hot near the big pans where we fry everything throughout the day. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. We don't really do much in the way of fancy packaging or big advertising. People in the neighborhood just know we are here. The floor is often a bit oily, no matter how much we scrub it every evening. That is just the nature of making snacks. We spend our mornings prepping the dough and our afternoons frying and packing into bags. It is a lot of standing on your feet. We have a small corner with a desk where we handle the bills and the orders that come in. It’s a bit cramped with all the sacks of gram flour and spices piled up against the walls. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s just a local shop vibe where everyone pitch in to get the work finished and the bags ready.
