Gajkesari Tea Co.

Our shop is Shop No. 14, located in Sudama Nagar. We are right near the Jain Mata Mandir, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day. Gajkesari Tea Co. is not a big corporate entity. It’s just a small shop where we keep different kinds of tea. When you walk in, you’ll see shelves filled with jars and bags. We don't have any fancy displays or lighting. The floor is just simple tile that we have to sweep all the time because of the tea dust. We use a basic digital scale now, which is a bit of an upgrade from the old one we had for years. Sudama Nagar is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always something happening outside. We know most of the people who live around here. Sometimes they just stop by to say hello or have a quick chat. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just try to provide what people are looking for. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front of the shop. We have a small stool behind the counter where I sit when there aren't any customers. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We handle the tea carefully and make sure the bags are sealed right. It’s just a honest way to make a living. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and we’re used to the routine.
