We are located on the second floor of the Saraswati Market in Khajuri Bazar, specifically at No. 623. To get to us, you have to climb up those narrow stairs, which can be a bit of a workout if you’re carrying heavy bags. The market downstairs is always a mess of people and scooters, but up here it’s a bit more focused on the work. We deal with garments and textiles. Our space is filled with tables where we measure and fold the clothes. It’s not a very big operation, just a handful of workers and a lot of thread. The windows look out over the bazaar, so we can hear all the shouting and horns all day long. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or signs. We just have our stock piled up in the back and a few samples hanging near the front. Most of the people who come here are regular customers who have known us for years. They know we’re just regular folks trying to run a shop in a crowded city. Sometimes the shipments get delayed because of the narrow streets, but we just wait it out. It’s a tight-knit community in Khajuri Bazar, and we’re just glad to be a small part of the daily hustle and bustle on this floor. We try to keep things moving as fast as the market allows us to.
