Running Vijaya Bhargavi Boutique out of Plot No 1076 in Pragathi Nagar is a busy life. Bachupalle has grown so much lately, and there are always new people moving into the area near Quthubullapur. I spend most of my day surrounded by piles of cloth, colorful threads, and the sound of the sewing machine. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, with measuring tapes draped over chairs and chalk marks on the cutting tables. People come in with ideas for dresses or sarees, and we try to figure out how to make them work. It isn't a high-end fashion studio with models; it’s just a practical workshop where we get things stitched. I usually have pins stuck in my pincushion and a cup of tea that’s gone cold because I got busy. Some days the power cuts off and we have to wait, or the monsoon rain makes the shop a bit damp, but we manage. My neighbors in Rangareddy District often drop by just to see what new fabrics we’ve got in stock. It’s hard on the eyes sometimes, doing the fine needlework late into the evening, but seeing someone happy with their new outfit makes it worth the effort. We don’t have a big marketing plan. We just stay here in Pragathi Nagar and do the work that comes our way, trying to keep everyone’s clothes looking decent and fitting right for whatever event they have.
