You can find us up on the 5th floor of Pranavas Lotus Park in Kondapur. It’s Flat 5505. It might seem a bit strange to run a fisheries and farms business from an apartment building in Safari Nagar, but it’s where we manage everything. We spend our mornings checking on how the ponds are doing and making sure the farm stuff is on track. The view from up here is mostly other buildings, which is a bit different from the actual farm life. We’ve got computers and files everywhere because there is always some record to update. Vasudhasri isn't a big operation with hundreds of people; it’s just a dedicated team trying to get things right. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so we take the stairs if we are in a hurry. We talk to people all day long on the phone. It’s about making sure the fish get where they are going and the crops are healthy. It is a lot of coordination. We don’t really have a showroom or anything fancy. It’s just an office where we do the hard work of planning and logistics. Most days we are just trying to keep the schedules straight. It gets a bit hectic when several harvests happen at once, but we manage. That’s just how it goes for us in Kondapur. We stay focused on the day-to-day tasks and try not to get too overwhelmed by the details. It is just work.
