We are located over in P&T Colony in Dilsukhnagar, right at #13-8-110. Most days start the same way here at Vastranjali Fashion For Sarees. We unlock the doors, sweep the front bit of the floor, and start checking the saree stacks. It gets pretty dusty around here because of all the traffic in Hyderabad, so there is always cleaning to do. We have been here for a bit now. People come in looking for something specific for a wedding or just a simple daily wear saree. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone is out shopping. Dealing with all the different fabrics takes up most of our time. Silk, cotton, synthetics—they all need to be folded just right or they look messy on the shelves. Sometimes we sit out front for a minute when it is quiet. You can see the whole neighborhood moving by from our spot. It is not a huge place, but we manage to keep a lot of stock squeezed in. The lights can be a bit bright in here during the afternoon heat, but it keeps things visible. We do not really have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be. Dilsukhnagar is a busy area to work in. There is always noise from the street, but you get used to it after a few weeks. It feels normal now.
