Uttam'S Furniture

You can find Uttam'S Furniture over at 1-7-241/11 on S.D. Road. It’s a busy street, especially during the rush hour when everyone is heading home. Our shop has been here for a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We usually have sawdust on the floor and the smell of wood in the air. That’s just part of the job. It’s a workshop as much as it is a place for people to look at things. We spend a lot of time moving chairs and tables around to make space. Sometimes a piece takes longer than we thought, or the delivery truck gets stuck in traffic on S.D. Road, but we try to keep things moving. It is a bit crowded inside because we have so much stuff packed in. We aren't a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a place where you can see the actual work happening. The guys in the back are usually busy with a saw or some sandpaper. We take our time with things. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet just to catch a breeze. People know us as the furniture spot near the main intersection. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some notebooks and a lot of hard work. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us.
